Afghanistan Flag

Although the current Afghanistan flag debuted relatively recently, this flag reflects the rich and complex history of Afghanistan. The Afghani flag changed several times during the Twentieth century, but the colors red, black, and green have been included on most styles. This flag closely resembles the one flown from 1930 to 1973. It was first flown over the presidential palace in Kabul on February 5, 2002 under interim leader Hamid Karzai and replaced the Taliban flag. The gold crest in the center of this flag is the traditional emblem of Afghanistan: a mosque with its mihrab facing Mecca.

This flag is used by Afghanistan's government and is displayed at the U.N. Headquarters in New York.

This durable outdoor flag is made of high-quality 200-Denier nylon specially treated to resist fading. Its image is single-sided and reversed on the back. This flag is finished with sturdy white canvas heading and brass grommets.

Please Note: This flag is made to order. Please allow up to 2 weeks for delivery.
