The Ecology Flag was created by cartoonist Ron Cobb, and was published for the first time in October 25, 1969. The flag was patterned after the American Flag, and had thirteen stripes alternating green and white. In the upper corner nearest the hoist side was a solid green union, with a yellow Theta. The Theta because of the letter's historic use as a warning symbol, or the Peace Symbol.
For outdoor (or indoor) display, this flag is made from 100% heavyweight nylon fabric specially treated to minimize sun and chemical deterioration. This single reverse flag is dyed and finished with strong canvas headings and brass grommets. Made to order, allow up to two weeks for delivery.
