The Bosnian and Herzegovina flag was adopted in 1998. White, blue, and yellow are not only traditionally associated with Bosnia; they are also associated with peace and neutrality. The three points of the yellow triangle represent the three peoples of Bosnia and Herzegovina: Bosniaks, Croats, and Serbs. The flag features seven 5-pointed white stars, which are supposed to be infinite in number and represent Europe. The blue on the flag was originally associated with the U.N. but was changed to a darker blue.
This outdoor flag is made from durable 200-Denier nylon that has been treated to resist fading. The flag is finished with a sturdy white canvas heading and grommets. Its image is dyed, single-sided, and reversed on the back.
This flag is used by Bosnia-Herzegovina's government and displayed at the U.N. Headquarters in New York.
