The Cambodian flag was designed in 1948, although several other designs were used before its 1993 readoption. The building in the center of this flag is Angkor Wat, a famous Theraveda Buddhist temple site, and symbolizes integrity, justice, and heritage. The blue stripes represent the monarchy while the red stripe represents the people. Cambodia is one of only two countries that feature buildings on their national flag.
This flag is made from durable 200-Denier nylon that has been treated to resist fading. The flag is finished with a 3 in., flannel-lined pole hem with Velcro hang tab and bordered with gold rayon fringe. Its image is dyed, single-sided, and reversed on the back. This flag is suitable for indoor or parade use.
This flag is used by Cambodia's government and displayed at the U.N. Headquarters in New York.
