Central African Republic Flag with Pole Hem and Fringe

Barthelemy Boganda, first president of the autonomous territory Ubangi-Shari, believed that Africa and France must work together. That is why he designed the Central African Republic flag with both the Pan-African colors of green, black, and red, and the French tricolors blue, white, and red. The red on this flag symbolizes the blood of the people who fought for the country's independence and protection. Blue is symbolic of freedom and the sky. White represents peace and dignity, green represents hope and faith, and yellow stands for tolerance. This flag was adopted in 1958.

This flag is made from durable 200-Denier nylon that has been treated to resist fading. The flag is finished with a 3 in., flannel-lined pole hem with Velcro hang tab and bordered with gold rayon fringe. Its image is dyed, single-sided, and reversed on the back. This flag is suitable for indoor or parade use.

This flag is used by the Central African Republic's government and displayed at the U.N. Headquarters in New York.

Please Note: This flag is made to order. Please allow up to 2 weeks for shipping.
