Chad Flag with Pole Hem and Fringe

Chad's flag was adopted in 1959 after gaining independence from France. In fact, this flags design is based on French flag. Its colors were inspired by the Pan-African colors, but green was changed to blue to avoid confusion with Mali's flag. The blue in this flag stands for the sky, water, and hope. Yellow represents the sun and the deserts in the country's north. Red represents unity, progress, and sacrifice. It also symbolizes the blood that was shed for this country.

This flag is made from durable 200-Denier nylon that has been treated to resist fading. The flag is finished with a 3 in., flannel-lined pole hem with Velcro hang tab and bordered with gold rayon fringe. Its image is dyed, single-sided, and reversed on the back. This flag is suitable for indoor or parade use.

This flag is used by Chad's government and displayed at the U.N. Headquarters in New York.

Please Note: This flag is made to order. Please allow up to 2 weeks for shipping.
