Chile Flag with Pole Hem and Fringe

Known in Spanish as La Estrella Solitaria, "The Lone Star," Chile adopted this flag in 1817. This flag's distinctive five-pointed white star represents a guide to progress and honor. The blue symbolizes the Pacific Ocean, the white symbolizes the snowy Andes Mountains, and red stands for the blood spilled to gain independence. Chile's Flag Day is held annually on July 9th to commemorate the 77 soldiers who died in the 1882 Battle of La Concepcion.

This flag is made from durable 200-Denier nylon that has been treated to resist fading. The flag is finished with a 3 in., flannel-lined pole hem with Velcro hang tab and bordered with gold rayon fringe. Its image is dyed, single-sided, and reversed on the back. This flag is suitable for indoor or parade use.

This flag is used by Chile's government and displayed at the U.N. Headquarters in New York.

Please Note: This flag is made to order. Please allow up to 2 weeks for shipping.
