Known in Spanish as
La Estrella Solitaria, “The Lone Star,” Chile adopted this flag in 1817. This flag’s distinctive five-pointed white star represents a guide to progress and honor. The blue symbolizes the Pacific Ocean, the white symbolizes the snowy Andes Mountains, and red stands for the blood spilled to gain independence. Chile’s Flag Day is held annually on July 9th to commemorate the 77 soldiers who died in the 1882 Battle of La Concepcion.
The Chile Miniature Economy Polyester Flag is made from light-weight polyester mounted on a wooden staff. Base not included.
