According to our research, this flag was designed and displayed originally in 1835 in Texas. A cannon was given to the Texans so they could protect themselves from Indian attacks. Later, in response to the Mexican army attempt to take it back, the flag was displayed above the cannon with the printed words ""Come and Take It"".
This durable, acid dyed flag is on sturdy cotton and is finished with a canvas heading and 5/8 in. diameter brass grommets. Made for indoor or outdoor use.
Please Note: Because of the large grommets on the cotton flags, we recommend that use our Never Furls for hanging with your pole.
