The Czech Republic flag is the same as the flag of Czechoslovakia. Its colors were taken from the Bohemian coat of arms by Jaroslav Kursa, who designed the flag. The flag was adopted in 1920 and has been used consistently since, excluding the years of WWII occupation.
This flag is made from durable 200-Denier nylon that has been treated to resist fading. The flag is finished with a 3 in., flannel-lined pole hem with Velcro hang tab and bordered with gold rayon fringe. Its image is dyed, single-sided, and reversed on the back. This flag is suitable for indoor or parade use.
This flag is used by the Czech Republic's government and displayed at the U.N. Headquarters in New York.
