Denmark Flag with Pole Hem

Denmark’s flag, called Dannebrog, is the oldest state flag still in use by an independent nation, adopted in 1218. According to legend, God gave the flag to the Danes during a battle. From then on, it has been the flag of Danish kings. Like most Scandinavian flags, Dannebrog incorporates the Scandinavian cross. Depicted in white on this flag, it is a symbol of Christianity.

This flag is made from durable 200-Denier nylon that has been treated to resist fading. The flag is finished with a 3 in., flannel-lined pole hem with Velcro tabs for hanging. Its image is dyed, single-sided, and reversed on the back. This flag is suitable for indoor or parade use.

This flag is used by Denmark’s government and displayed at the U.N. Headquarters in New York.
