The current flag of Guatemala was adopted in 1871. The flag represents Guatemala's position as a land between two oceans. The two vertical blue stripes represent the Atlantic and Pacific oceans. The white stripe stands for peace and purity. The civil version of this flag does not include the Guatemalan coat of arms.
This flag is made from durable 200-Denier nylon that has been treated to resist fading. The flag is finished with a 3 in., flannel-lined pole hem with Velcro tabs for hanging. Its image is dyed, single-sided, and reversed on the back. This flag is suitable for indoor or parade use.
