Iran Flag with Pole Hem and Fringe

The Iranian flag, adopted in 1980, symbolizes the Iranian Revolution and the country's Muslim heritage. Green represents Islam, white represents purity and peace, and red symbolizes blood and valor. Allahu Akbar, or "God is great," is written 22 in white Kufi script on the green and red stripes. The red emblem in the center of the flag is Iran's coat of arms, designed by Hamid Nadimi. In it, the word Allah, or "God," overlaps the phrase La ilaha illa Allah, or "There is no God but Allah," to form a tulip shape.

This flag is made from durable 200-Denier nylon that has been treated to resist fading. The flag is finished with a 3 in., flannel-lined pole hem with Velcro hang tab and bordered with gold rayon fringe. Its image is dyed, single-sided, and reversed on the back. This flag is suitable for indoor or parade use.

This flag is used by Iran's government and displayed at the U.N. Headquarters in New York.

Please Note: This flag is made to order. Please allow up to 2 weeks for shipping.
