Jamaica Flag with Pole Hem and Fringe

Jamaica adopted this flag on August 6, 1962, the original Jamaican Independence Day. It includes the Pan-African colors green, black, and gold. The original interpretation of the colors was "hardships there are but the land is green and the sun shineth." The meaning of the black was later changed from hardships to the strength and creativity of the people that allowed them to overcome those hardships.

This flag is made from durable 200-Denier nylon that has been treated to resist fading. The flag is finished with a 3 in., flannel-lined pole hem with Velcro hang tab and bordered with gold rayon fringe. Its image is dyed, single-sided, and reversed on the back. This flag is suitable for indoor or parade use.

This flag is used by Jamaica's government and displayed at the U.N. Headquarters in New York.

Please Note: This flag is made to order. Please allow up to 2 weeks for shipping.
