Mauritius Flag with Pole Hem and Fringe

Mauritius adopted this flag in 1968 upon gaining independence. Red represents the blood spilled during the fight for independence and yellow symbolizes the new light of independence. Yellow also represents sunshine. Blue represents the Indian Ocean, while green invokes the island's lush vegetation.

This flag is made from durable 200-Denier nylon that has been treated to resist fading. The flag is finished with a 3 in., flannel-lined pole hem with Velcro hang tab and bordered with gold rayon fringe. Its image is dyed, single-sided, and reversed on the back. This flag is suitable for indoor or parade use.

This flag is used by Mauritius's government and displayed at the U.N. Headquarters in New York.

Please Note: This flag is made to order. Please allow up to 2 weeks for shipping.
