The Azerbaijan flag was adopted in 1991. The blue stripe represents the country’s Turkish heritage, the red stands for progress, and the green signifies Islam. In the center of this flag is a white crescent and 8-pointed star. November 9th is national Flag Day in Azerbaijan.
This flag is dyed on silky, lustrous rayon and is hemmed and mounted to a 10 in. black pole that includes a gold-painted spear. Base not included.
