The Bangladesh flag was adopted in 1972. It depicts a red circle on a green background. The circle is positioned slightly to the left so that it appears centered when flying. The circle represents the sun rising over Bengal as well as the blood of those who fought for Bangladesh, while the green symbolizes the lush vitality of the country.
This flag is dyed on silky, lustrous rayon and is hemmed and mounted to a 10 in. black pole including with a gold-painted spear. Base not included.
