The Bulgarian flag design is as old as 1879 but has gone through many changes since the readoption of the current version in 1991. The current flag does not include the Bulgarian crest, as some versions have. This flag includes horizontal stripes of white, green, and red, from top to bottom. The white represents purity and honesty, the green represents hope, joy, and love, and the red symbolizes hardiness, bravery, strength, and valor.
This flag is dyed on silky, lustrous rayon and is hemmed and mounted to a 10 in. black pole that includes a gold-painted spear. Base not included.
