The Congo flag was originally adopted in 1958, but was replaced in 1970 under the People’s Republic of the Congo socialist party. The flag was readopted in 1991. The Pan-African colors on this flag stem from Ethiopia’s flag, while its diagonal stripes set it apart from other Pan-African flags.
This flag is dyed on silky, lustrous rayon and is hemmed and mounted to a 10 in. black pole that includes a gold-painted spear. Base not included.
