The current Mongolian flag was adopted in 1992 after Mongolia became a democracy. The blue stripe represents the eternal blue sky while the red stripes symbolize the people's ability to thrive in a harsh environment. This flag features the soyombo, Mongolia's national symbol, which combines representations of fire, sun, moon, earth, water, and the Taijitu (Yin-Yang) symbol.
This outdoor flag is made from durable 200-Denier nylon that has been treated to resist fading. The flag is finished with a sturdy white canvas heading and grommets. Its image is dyed, single-sided, and reversed on the back.
This flag is used by Mongolia's government and displayed at the U.N. Headquarters in New York.
