Republic of Guinea-Bissau Flag with Pole Hem and Fringe

Guinea-Bissau adopted this flag in 1973 after gaining independence from Portugal. This flag is based on the flag of PAIGC, the dominant political party in Guinea-Bissau, and uses Pan-African colors. The black star signifies unity in Africa. Red represents the struggle for freedom, yellow stands for the sun, and green symbolizes hope.

This flag is made from durable 200-Denier nylon that has been treated to resist fading. The flag is finished with a 3 in., flannel-lined pole hem with Velcro hang tab and bordered with gold rayon fringe. Its image is dyed, single-sided, and reversed on the back. This flag is suitable for indoor or parade use.

This flag is used by Guinea-Bissau's government and displayed at the U.N. Headquarters in New York.

Please Note: This flag is made to order. Please allow up to 2 weeks for shipping.
