Poland adopted this flag in 1919. Red and white have been the national colors of Poland since 1831. They originate from the coats of arms of Poland and Lithuania. Red symbolizes blood spilled in the fight for independence and white stands for peace. The government version of this flag includes the White Eagle of Poland. Poland's Flag Day has been celebrated on May 2nd since 2004.
This outdoor flag is made from durable 200-Denier nylon that has been treated to resist fading. The flag is finished with a sturdy white canvas heading and grommets. Its image is dyed, single-sided, and reversed on the back.
