Tunisian Republic Flag with Pole Hem and Fringe

Al-Husayn II ibnMahmud adopted this as Tunisia's flag in 1831. The star and crescent recall the Ottoman flag and Tunisia's history as part of the Ottoman Empire. The white disk symbolizes the sun, the star and crescent are symbols of Islam, and red represents resistance against Turkish supremacy.

This flag is made from durable 200-Denier nylon that has been treated to resist fading. The flag is finished with a 3 in., flannel-lined pole hem with Velcro hang tab and bordered with gold rayon fringe. Its image is dyed, single-sided, and reversed on the back. This flag is suitable for indoor or parade use.

This flag is used by Tunisia's government and displayed at the U.N. Headquarters in New York.

Please Note: This flag is made to order. Please allow up to 2 weeks for shipping.
