After four decades of running a small business called Arkansas Flag and Banner, now simply FlagandBanner.com, my team and I decided to create a platform not just for me, but for other business owners and successful people to pay forward our experiential knowledge in a conversational way.

Originally, we thought, we’d be teaching others, but it didn’t take long before we realized that we were the persons learning. Listening to our guests, has been both educational and inspiring. To quote The Dalai Lama, “When you talk, you are only repeating what you already know. But if you listen, you may learn something new.”

Due to her leadership, community involvement, longevity in a growing business and her uncanny approachability, Kerry is often asked for business advice. One week, it happened three times. After leaving the third encounter, Kerry had an epiphany: “Pay it forward!”

She began her weekly radio show, Up In Your Business with Kerry McCoy, in September of 2016. Initially, the show focused solely on the advice and history of accomplished business entrepreneurs and then evolved to include community leaders in all walks of life.

Local radio legend Tom Wood is the music director and air personality of Arkansas Rocks Radio Network. Tom has been a radio programmer and announcer in Little Rock for 40 years. Tom can currently be heard on the Arkansas Rocks Radio Network, with affiliates in seven Arkansas cities.
