ccording to the National Flag Foundation there is a proper way to fold a flag and each fold has meaning.

This past summer, the staff at FlagandBanner.com hosted an event for about 100 campers. We split them into several groups and they rotated between learning modules.

One of the modules was how to fold the flag and what the folds represent. Afterwards, the volunteer in charge of teaching this station approached me with a passionate plea. “Please publish this. I wish all Americans knew this information and realized the values the flag represents aren’t right or left, they are what we are all striving for.”

So here is an explanation of what each fold means.
