Women's Equality Day

Alice Paul rolls out a victory banner on August 18, 1920 when the 19th Amendment was formally adopted. FlagandBanner.com offers flags and more to keep the Women's Equality Movement going.

Women's Equality Day commemorates women being granted the right to vote on a equal playing field as men. Women were granted the right to vote on August 26, 1920 with the passing of the 19th Amendment. Today women are still fighting for equality in the workplace and on the battlefield. Women's Equality Day is celebrated in the United States on August 26th every year. As of 2013, women are still fighting for an Equal Rights Amendment to the Constitution. This Amendment would protect women against gender bias that falls outside of other laws now on the books. Read more about the ERA and its history and why FlagandBanner.com has started this new Women's Rights product line.
